A model retweeted me!

Hello dear readers,

So here's the exciting news that I briefly mentioned yesterday: I got retweeted by a really famous model! I did a drawing of her, because I love her hair and style so much (check her Instagram: it's @chloenorgaard) - and she retweeted it!

Honestly, I was hyperventilating for about 10 minutes and almost fell off my chair - it was an amazing feeling.

Then I said thank you to her, and she favourited that too! And she also favourited a cute tweet that someone sent me about the drawing - asdffghkkl....

But yes, I'm very excited. Her name is Chloe Norgaard, if you haven't worked it out yet (from the Instagram name)! If you haven't heard of her, have a look, she's beautiful and lovely.

Thanks for reading, many hugs

Ps: if you're wondering haha, the drawing is here:

New room tour

Hello dear readers,

Just a brief post to show you my new room.  I went with a creme and duck egg blue theme, as I'm sure you'll see...!

My favourite element: the bed and fairy lights

My rather busy dressing table

My bookcase - proud to say I've read almost every book on there.

How I've arranged my nail varnishes - although this will be re-painted to white soon.

I really recommend these - they're a great way to display all your jewellery. I keep my dangly (great terminology, Mati) earrings on it, and my studs are in the dressing table.

The collection of old photos and cards above my desk... I'll hopefully decorate the other wall with even more photos soon.

My High School Musical jumping model (winky face) that I use for art

My current desk setup: featuring my new, beautiful Roberts radio, my overdose of CDs, a boomerang, and of course my trusty notepads.

So that's it for today! Hope you enjoyed having a little look around my new room; I'm kind of obsessed with it.

Very exciting post coming tomorrow (even though it might be a little short)!

Thanks for reading, many hugs

What I got for christmas (beauty)

Hello dear readers,

Firstly, I'll apologise for the lack of daily blogging yesterday - shameful, shameful.

Secondly, I hope you're all celebrating that I've FINALLY got round to doing a long-awaited post: What I got for Christmas.

Now, I'm afraid I've had to compromise a little *sigh, I know* because my mother's extraordinary tidying skills mean that it's been hard for me to gather up things that I got, as most have been tidied away somewhere... However, I've decided that maybe this is a good thing, as I can now just focus on one topic: beauty.

Ok, so I know I'm nowhere near Alexa Chung, but I'll attempt to give some advice on some products, which I hope you'll find useful.

^ This is the first product: Treacle moon 'her mango thoughts' bath and shower gel. Now, I seem to have a bit of an obsession with this scent, (look below: featuring my one from last year - just as good - from The little bubble co., 'Mango delight') as do many others, it seems. And for good reason!

I'm sure the gel is great for your skin, but to be honest, the main attraction is the scent. And it does smell SO good - and leaves you feeling really refreshed afterwards. I only use it in the shower, but I imagine it's just as good in the bath.

^ This is my set from Ted Baker - one of my favourite Christmas gifts this year. There are six items, all body gels/ lotions/ scrubs, (one is a body 'soufflé' - never heard of that one before!) all of which smell AMAZING. It's weird though, I find that they don't smell brilliant in their pot/ bottle, but when you put them on your skin they smell great. It might just be me... Maybe there's some reaction with your skin, I don't know (not a scientist!).

My favourite one of this set is probably the hand lotion, simply because I use it the most. I keep it beside my bed, because I, like a lot of people, tend to get dry skin (especially on my knuckles) during the winter. I find it definitely mousturises my hands, and dries fairly quickly, which is handy (handy - hand - haha! - sorry, not funny).

What I like most about this set though, is that all the products are big, and not the mini versions. I've had a similar set from Soap and Glory before, which was great, but everything was so small that once you got into them they'd run out (which I suppose is the point, but ah well).

Well that's the end of that one then! Hope you enjoyed reading this, it's a bit of a different direction for me, and I have to admit, I felt a bit daunted by it! See you tomorrow,

Ps: new room tour on the way!

Twitter virginity lost!

Hello dear readers,

Ok, so again, I can only apologise about how short this post will be. But it's Friday - so hopefully over the weekend I can be slightly more interesting!

Just a note to say I got twitter two days ago. I know, I'm a bit late... I already had it, but they were accounts set up for my characters in a school play we did; so afterwards I could see what other people were tweeting, but didn't want to actually tweet from my own account. But now, I have my very own one - yay! It's @MatiWarner if you're wondering haha, please do follow if you wish, and maybe even send me a message saying you found me through this blog.

That's all for now, folks (cue looney tunes theme tune)!

New room - yay!!!!!

Hello dear readers,

All I have to say is, well... Nothing. Just please admire the beauty of my new bed and lights... I'm actually in love gah!

Also, it occurred to me that I've never posted a photo of me on here, and you may (probably not but ah well) want to know what I look like:

^i made this little edit at lunch, much to the amusement of my friends...

Anyways, sorry this has been such a random post, I apologise profusely.

Hopefully now I'm nearly all settled again, my posts can be far more interesting than they are at the moment!

Thanks for reading,

Lies and teachers

Hello dear readers,

This is just a quick (sorry, most of my weekday posts will be this) post to say well done to my class today. We (especially one or two girls) organised a teacher version of the tv programme, 'Would I lie to you?' today, and it went so well! We raised over £200 for cystic fibrosis, and there's still money coming in. We're so happy that everyone laughed , we raised money for such an amazing cause, and (best of all) we heard some pretty embarrassing teacher stories!

A very important philosophical question

Hello dear readers,

So, today, all I want to do is become Pluto (philosopher). I would like to ponder with you about an incredibly deep philosophical question... *Drum roll please*...

What do you say when someone coughs? When someone sneezes, you obviously say "bless you", "gesundheit", or a personal favourite of mine (generally when one has performed at least three sneezes): "well you definitely have a cold then". But what if someone coughs?

Whenever this situation occurs, I find myself awkwardly positioned next to the said person, wondering whether to thump them on the back or to say something... This is a very strenuous situation, especially for someone who's socially awkward like me.

So, next time someone coughs, maybe get creative... Say something so wonderfully random (and possibly slightly weird - go for it) that the person will be caught so offguard that their next cough escapes from their body without making a fuss. And there you have it: your very own, man-made, cough cure. Perfect.

Thanks for reading, many hugs

Ps: don't even get me started on what you say when someone gets the hiccups...
